Metro roof projects around the Western Cape
At Metro we are committed to always providing our clients with the best possible service – even if it requires us driving the extra mile and taking our staff into more remote areas out of Cape Town. Some of the areas that we have recently completed roofing work include Hermanus, Riebeek-Kasteel and Tulbagh. This blog post will give you a bit more detail about each project and how we went about making this possible.
The first project was done on a farm house in a remote rural area close to Tulbagh, which was definitely one of the most beautiful settings that we have worked in. Even though we had quite a few logistical challenges around delivering the materials and getting the team on site and back home again, we managed to deliver a good service and completed a great project within the planned time and budget. The roof installation in Tulbagh involved over 300 sqm of Diamondek roofing sheeting, which has a secret fix bracket to limit the possibility of leaks. Eugene and his team were on site for 3 weeks as there was some technical flashing work that require good attention to detail. The team stayed out on site so they could get through the work in a fast and effective manner.
Our Riebeek-Kasteel project started with one of our founders, Adam, stopping at Riebeek-Kasteel on the way home from our Tulbagh project to get some rusks from the local baker. While he was parked outside, someone noticed our truck, called the office and asked for a quote. A week after that the quote was approved and we were out in Riebeek-Kasteel measuring the site. This was a re-roof project that required the underlying timber structure to be adjusted to meet A19 standards as well as Metro quality controls. Metro’s timber team took 10 days to resolve this before the roofing teams followed through with covering and flashing work. The re-roof was installed successfully and we managed to complete the project within 3-4 weeks.
As with all our other roofing, electric and solar projects, the most important thing at Metro is to ensure that our clients’ needs are met and that we exceed their expectations, and we intend to stick to that even if it requires us travelling to more remote areas. If you are interested in making use of our services, no matter where you are situated in the Western Cape, be it a new roof in Tulbagh, electrical installation in Riebeek-Kasteel or Solar in Hermanus, give us a call to discuss a quote.
